Katherine is the course coordinator and lecturer for Certificate III Individual Support (Ageing, Home and Community) AND Certificate IV in Ageing Support. She offers over 12 years of experience working as a Clinical Nurse, Associate Nurse Unit Manager, Registered Nurse and Clinical Practice Facilitator for Queensland Health. The skills and knowledge embedded in these roles has allowed her to develop clinical, communication and leadership skills that are reflective of an advanced clinician.
Katherine has obtained her Bachelor of Nursing, Graduate Certificate in Paediatric, Child, Youth Health and Master of Nursing (Clinical Teaching).
She is extremely enthusiastic about learning and teaching, as well as motivated by new challenges. Her passion stems from the belief that through uncompromising integrity and values, the spirit of excellence is the core of our being. Katherine’s main objective is to empower students to keep learning and encourage them to realise their true potential. She is certain that with hard work and determination, students will be able to achieve, fulfil and excel all expectations, while having fun and making life-long friendships in the process.
