Upon successful completion of the Certificate IV in Ageing Support students may progress to higher level qualifications within and/or across the community sector. Students may also use the qualification to assist them in gaining entry level employment.
This 12 month program is designed to give you knowledge and skills in Ageing Support practices. If you are looking to re-enter the work force or want a career change, this qualification will give you the knowledge and practical skills to work within an person-centred support environment. This qualification provides a well-rounded balance of skills that will assist you in becoming an invaluable team member to a wide range of ageing and disability support services.
After successful completion of the program, the student may gain employment in aged care services, disability support centre, residential group homes, training resource centres, day respite centres and open employment services, other community settings and clients’ homes.
